The book presents the results of research carried out snce 1979, but especially during 1993-1996 on initiative of RAA Organization in Karvajar (Kalbajar), Kashatagh (Lachin), Kashunik (Ghubatli), Zangelan, Jabrail, Fizuli, Baylakan, Aghdam, Aghjabedi, Tartar and Partav (Barda) districts. Numerous cultural monuments, sites and settlements of the area surrounding the Republic of Nagorno-Karabagh are presented on the background of the field material assembled during scientific expeditions, historical records (epigraphic material, historical sources, periodicals, old and new maps) and archive documents contributory to the understanding of the Armenian history of the medieval and late periods.
