The book is dedicated to the hero of France Missak Manouchian, the activities of his group (He led the anti-fascist group "Stalnigrad").
Missak Manouchian was a French poet of Armenian descent, a militant communist in the MOI (Main-d'œuvre immigrée or Immigrant Workforce Movement), and military commissioner of the FTP-MOI (Partisan irregulars of the MOI) in the Paris region. He was born at Adıyaman in southeastern Turkey on 1 September 1906, and he was shot at Fort Mont-Valérien, near Paris, on 21 February 1944. He was 37 years old. Although he was primarily known for his role in the French Resistance during World War II, he was, above all, an intellectual and a talented poet.
